Purchased 3000 XTR direct from Gorilla +/- 1 1/2 yr. ago. Also purchased a wireless remote control as I useto winch in/out race car from trailer. Since winching rolling weight probably not using as heavy loaded as some other people. Only problems had to date are synthetic rope doesn't spool very evenly (always bunches to one side) and if don't catch in time will jump drum and wedge around outside drum and body (pain in the a**) I hope I can alleviate this issue by using a roller fairlead instead of Alum. hawse style. Also, the engage/freespool handle has now broken internally. I use the free spool frequently and not the smoothest operating. It seem there are three plastic ears on backside of handle that engage three slots on cam body to turn it. They are very small and broke off by hand use. I don't know if they will cover by warranty or not as just happened yesterday and haven't contacted yet (its Sunday). Here's Hoping. Overall While its not the absolute best winch I've had it is a good value for the price I paid. Its not a Ramsey or Warn but didn't pay that price either.

best winch I've ever had i bought mine on eBay so i only got a 6 month warranty so far pulled me out every time i have had to replace the free spool selector once but it was only like 5 bucks and they paid shipping also the contactors tend to fail so what i did was go and get a battery disconnect switch (harbor freight $5.00)and wire it directly from the battery to the winch so i just flip the switch like a circuit breaker but you have to make sure its rated for more amps than the winch can pull and just use the free spool to pull the rope out after that works like a dream no problems but if you ever need parts for it they don't cost very much from pro mark any way but still would recommend buy it from the company and get the lifetime warranty almost nothing voids it and customer service people are very friendly and helpful

i bought this winch 1 year ago when i recieved the winch customer service called like 2 days later to make sure i recieved everything and was happy not many companys do that after a year and alot of use it gave me a little problem i contacted them shipped my winch to them and within 1 week of shipping it i received it back fixed no questions or excuses i recommend this winch to anybody looking for one will not find a better product or better customer service anywhere

pulls me out every time mud 2 feet deep .always rewind my cable properly so cable dosnt bunch up if you are plowing i recommend a winch with a ropehave to check cable to often.the contactor went on me and the winches are not very waterproof.i use it for 3 times and the motor burns up for seems to take in water easily.when it is working this thing is a monster and gorilla always honors the warranty.

Mounting plate and winch arrive vary quickly. Everything was as described and on good quality. The instructions were simple and straight forward, that is were the problem started. We ended up having to take off everything on the front of my Sportsman 400, bolt on the winch plate and then reassemble the front end. Once the mount was installed everything else was pretty straight forward. Once installed the winch look good and worked even better. To see how well it worked we went out to the back of the farm and got a friends AVT stuck in the swamp and then winched it out of the muddy creek. All in all very happy with equipment and service.

i bought my winch on ebay and wonder why there is only a 6mo. warranty. i would have bought it off the website if i realized the warranty is lifetime....hope that i dont get screwed in the longrun!!! but happy so far

I will never go back to steel cable. Great value and a perfect fit on my Polaris RZR 800. No problems as of yet. Very happy and highly recommended.

I started out in love with this winch, but after a few months use, the old adage "you get what you pay for" started coming true. The winch failed on me and I ended up walking out of the woods. I replaced the contactor, since Gorilla (promark) wanted me to pay shipping to return the defective part, and it worked for another month or so and then the motor went bad. Luckily I was not riding alone this time and we were able to get unstuck. Overall, I say go with a Warn product. I will be surprised if this review makes it up on the site.

Prior to deciding on the Promark product I did considerable research comparing the top models and the features I wanted. Feature for feature and value for value the 3000XTR came out at the top of my list. When I threw in the remote control, the no-charge synthetic rope, and the lifetime warranty it was truly a 'no brainer.' The installation went smoothly and there were no surprises. The directions were well-written and easily understood. I bought the mounting package for my Polaris 800 Sportsman and it was easily installed as was the 3000XTR winch. Needles to say all the parts were included and this attributed to the ease-of-installation. The customer service (Valerie) was outstanding and responsive. Thunder Bay, Ontario
